(Română) DEZVOLTAREA SI MODERNIZAREA AEROPORTULUI INTERNATIONAL “HENRI COANDA” – SOLUTII TEHNICE SI TEHNOLOGICE APLICATE PENTRU EXECUTIA TERMINALULUI PLECARI INTERNATIONALE “FINGER”

This article describes the steel structure assembly and execution technology used for the development of Romanian International Airport “Henri Coanda” Bucharest – Otopeni, a structure containing oversized elements that had to be erected during a very short period of time. The materials mix, reinforced concrete and steel, made possible the construction of this special building, combining in an optimum structural system the concrete shear walls resistance to earthquake action and the architectural appearance given by the steel structure with its high strength and easy to model capacities. The technology used and a very close collaboration between the structural engineers and the contractor made possible for this investment to be executed according to the beneficiary’s requirements not only from the execution period, but also from the quality point of view.
